Coffe Gal
Hot off the easel. Coffee Gal (totally un inspired title I know). Im not gonna bore ya's with all the details, as little has changed in my technique. I will say that for this one I used a Grey based paper for a change. And who knew that a base color could make such a difference. I freakin hated the grey. Total pain in the ass. Ruined all my base tones with both the marker, and paint. Well live and learn... I will also point out that the idea for this piece came from the convention promotor in Italy (the show I'll be attending in July). When he inquired if I had any artwork similar to two little sketches he sent me. One being a pin up holding an old timey black coffee pot (I call it a "Black Coffee pot" cause as a child growing up my family never referred to espresso made at home as Espresso. It was Black coffee at home, Espresso when out to dinner. Weird right?). p.s. Who the heck just has a drawing/painting of a gal with a coffee pot just kicking around anyways?!? But make a long story short, thought it was a great idea. That combined with my love of coffee, and those little black coffee pots, I ran home, and drew this gal up. Same size, 12x18" And she's bound for Naples Italy via the Internet. For use at the convention IM attending in June there. I will have mini prints of this young lady for your purchasing pleasure by the by. See ya...
